Sonic research and “Climate Calamity Zone”
In the style of recent Sonic the Hedgehog games, this pair of pieces is meant to represent two versions of the same level in a platformer game. The first is “Classic-styled”, with an emphasis on emulating the core compositional aspects and “retro” instrumentation of early Sonic-series games. The second is “Modern-styled”, with an emphasis on evolving the “Classic” piece through instrumentation and compositional changes.
Stay tuned for a video about about my research and composition process!
